Plant in a full sun position protected from strong winds in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Dig the planting hole twice as wide and slightly deeper than the root ball, then mulch well to retain moisture while keeping mulch clear of the trunk. Water deeply during establishment and through prolonged dry periods. Apply a quality controlled-release fertiliser annually in spring.
