HONEY GEM
Grevillea hybrid
Honey Gem is an exciting Grevillea that produces honey gold flowers all year round on fine fern-like foliage. The unique foliage colour and texture of Honey Gem makes it an ideal taller contrasting plant in shrubbery or
mass planted. Flowers last up to a couple of weeks in floral arrangements. The honey laden flowers are fauna friendly attracting a
myriad of birds.
Immediately after flowering, prune Honey Gem back by
at least one third. Tip prune during summer. Honey Gem
is an ideal 'safetree' specimen for street planting. While Grevilleas do not like high levels of phosphorous, they do respond to a light application of soluble nitrogen fertiliser. Plant in well-drained soils in full sun. Do not overwater as they prefer dryness.
For a proven, fauna friendly native, plant Honey Gem.
