Euphorbia tirucalli 'Firesticks' 140mm Pot
A striking architectural succulent with slender, pencil-like stems that develop brilliant shades of yellow, orange and fiery red, particularly during the cooler months.
Euphorbia 'Firesticks' is an eye-catching, drought-tolerant succulent prized for its unusual branching form and spectacular seasonal colour. The upright cylindrical stems emerge green before developing glowing yellow, orange and red tones when exposed to bright sunlight and cooler temperatures. Plant in a full sun position in very well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing, then allow the soil to dry between watering. Once established, Firesticks has very low water requirements and should not be allowed to remain in wet or waterlogged soil. Bright sunlight and cooler temperatures encourage the most intense stem colour. Prune only when necessary to control size or shape and always wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling.
Caution:Â Euphorbia 'Firesticks' produces a milky sap that is toxic and can cause significant skin and eye irritation. Avoid contact with the sap and keep away from children and pets.
Euphorbia 'Firesticks' is a spectacular low-water succulent combining fiery seasonal colour, sculptural form and exceptional drought tolerance, making it a standout feature for Australian gardens and containers.
