PLATYCERIUM SUPERBUM STAG FERN 200mm

Platycerium superbum, or Staghorn Fern, is a super cool evergreen fern that grows on trees (yep, it’s epiphytic!). It has big, rounded green fronds and long, forked ones that look like antlers—hence the name. All the fronds grow from a central nest, which naturally collects leaves and bugs that help feed the plant.

It’s one of the most eye-catching plants in our native rainforests and makes an awesome statement piece. Just make sure to keep it out of strong, drying winds and go easy on the watering. A liquid feed in the warmer months will keep it happy and healthy.

• Soil: Likes it moist but well-drained
• Light & Conditions: Loves a bright spot with filtered sunlight—don’t stick it in deep shade. It also enjoys a bit of humidity.
