The very large leaves of the lettuce leaf basil have a delightful anise flavour. They make excellent pesto and are very sort after for flavouring passata during Autumn.
A staff favourite. Well worth the effort of growing them.
Plant in Spring for Summer and Autumn harvest. Freeze fresh leaves for use over winter and early Spring
