Hosta So Sweet 180mm pot

Hosta 'So Sweet' 180mm Pot

Hosta 'So Sweet' is a beautiful shade-loving perennial featuring lush green leaves edged in creamy white, creating a fresh and elegant display in shaded garden beds and containers.

This attractive Hosta forms a neat, spreading mound of gently arching foliage, with each glossy green leaf highlighted by an irregular cream to white margin. During summer, slender flower stems rise above the foliage carrying fragrant white, trumpet-shaped flowers that add another dimension to this outstanding variety. Its combination of variegated foliage and sweetly scented flowers makes 'So Sweet' particularly appealing for areas of the garden where colourful flowering plants can be difficult to grow.

Perfect for underplanting trees, shaded borders and decorative pots, Hosta 'So Sweet' provides reliable seasonal colour before becoming dormant over winter and returning with fresh new foliage in spring.

Plant Care

Plant in a part shade to shaded position in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Keep the soil consistently moist during active growth, particularly through warm and dry weather, but avoid waterlogged conditions. Apply compost and mulch in spring to retain moisture and maintain a cool root zone. Protect emerging foliage from snails and slugs. Remove spent flower stems after flowering and allow the foliage to naturally die back in autumn before removing old leaves.

Hosta 'So Sweet' is an elegant and easy-to-grow shade perennial, combining beautifully variegated foliage with fragrant summer flowers to brighten those cooler, sheltered areas of the garden.
