An outstanding and popular evergreen grown for heavenly blooms and handsome dark green, glossy foliage. This compact form has superb single white, heavily fragrant, small star-shaped flowers during late spring and summer. An ideal specimen for containers and low borders as 'Star' needs little or no pruning.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR GARDENIAS: Gardenias will thrive in a warm and moist, frost free position provided there is adequate shelter from heat, wind and frost. Ideally they are suited to morning sun followed by dappled afternoon light. Gardenias are acid-loving plants preferring a rich and fertile well-drained soul. Feed throughout the growing season and mulch well. Do not let potted specimens dry out. Gardenias respond well to light pruning.
