Sticky Everlasting Daisy
Xerochrysum viscosum
Xerochrysum viscosum, previously known as Bracteantha viscosa, is commonly referred to as "Sticky Everlasting." It is an eye-catching everlasting daisy, displaying vibrant, papery bright-yellow flowers mainly during spring and summer. The plant features long, slender, dark green leaves that have a sticky texture when touched. Still common along roadsides around the You Yangs National Park
To maintain a bushy appearance and prolong its lifespan, it's recommended to prune the plant significantly during autumn.
This lovely species thrives in open, sunny locations with well-drained soil. While it can tolerate some shade, it does not fare well in areas with poor drainage. During dry periods, watering is necessary to keep the plant healthy
