Eremophila waitii ‘Silky Lavender’ – Grafted Emu Bush (140mm Pot)

Eremophila waitii ‘Silky Lavender’ is a distinctive Australian native shrub discovered by eremophila authority Russell Wait, admired for its striking silvery-grey foliage, dense clusters of deep lilac flowers, and unique silky bud texture. Flowering mainly in spring, the vivid blooms are tightly packed along the branch tips, creating a dramatic seasonal display.

This plant is grafted onto a hardy rootstock, improving reliability and allowing successful growth in a wider range of soils, including heavier clay soils common in many gardens. The grafted root system provides stronger establishment and long-term performance compared with non-grafted eremophilas.

Naturally occurring on clay slopes in mallee woodland, Eremophila waitii is well suited to dry, sunny Australian gardens, where its silver foliage provides year-round contrast and its flowers attract pollinators and birds.

Supplied in a 140mm pot, this recently introduced and collector-significant native makes an exceptional feature shrub or native garden highlight.
