During trials Strawflower Elite Sapphire Pink proved to be one of the most compact varieties and covered itself with profuse flushes of papery, dark pink blooms. The flowers lasted for months.
POSITION: Full sun to part shade, well-drained soil, Elite Sapphire Pink hates wet feet! FLOWERING: Best flowering is September to May but Elite Sapphire Pink will flower continuously if trimmed after a flush is completed.
USE: Ideal for garden borders, pots and mixed planters or mixed with other colours in the Elite range in your garden beds. Flowers can be cut and dried for small posies.
DURABILITY: Adequate water until established, Then Elite Sapphire Pink is very drought tolerant.
CARE: In the cooler months it is important that Bracteantha are kept a little drier and in a well-drained soll. When Elite Sapphire Pink has finished a flush or looks tatty don't hesitate to shear to shape and it will re-flower quickly. Avoid pruning during the cold months in fact keep as much foliage on as possible and wait until the warmer weather. Fertilise seasonally with organic fertiliser.
