Plant in a full sun to part shade position in fertile, well drained soil. Water regularly during establishment and during extended dry periods. Apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring to encourage vigorous new growth and the brightest foliage colour. Minimal pruning is required, removing only dead or crossing branches during winter while dormant.
