Chrysocephalum Highland Gold
Chrysocephalum ramosissimum
"Highland Gold" is a lovely hardy suckering Aussie groundcover with a beautiful display of golden yellow button flowers held above soft grey foliage.
It is an adaptable species from the southern NSW flowers sporadically throughout Spring, and heavily in Summer and Autumn. In cold climates 'Highland Gold' can go winter
dormant. Native bees and butterflies find this wonderful plant hard to resist and will visit continuously throughout the flowering
period.
'Highland Gold' looks great planted out as a border, amongst other small groundcovers and shrubs, or makes an excellent pot specimen using a premium Australian native potting mix. The beautiful soft foliage is an added bonus when 'Highland Gold' is not in flower.
'Highland Gold' grows and flowers best in a well drained soil in a full sun/part shade position. If the soil is poorly drained a raised garden bed is recommended.
'Highland Gold' is a hardy plant tolerating extended dry periods and frosty conditions. After establishment in the ground 'Highland Gold' will only require additional watering only during extended dry periods.
