Lemon Rose Geranium
A fragrant rose scented pelargonium with an overtone of lemon and lobed green leaves and soft pink flowers in spring. Large, open habit.
Flavours/Food Partners: Partners with mints, other scented geranium, the fruity sages and any of the Renaissance Tea Herbs. Use in teas, cakes, desserts, ice cream, biscuits and jams.
Health/Cooking/Medicinal: The leaves can be added to salads and deserts or used in the baking of cakes and biscuits. Gives a tangy lemon rose flavour to jellies, jams and cookies. A hot cup of herbal tea with a few leaves of Stevia and some fresh Geranium Lemon Rose leaves makes
a refreshing and relaxing afternoon tea. Landscaping/Planting: Plant in almost any well drained spot in
the garden and does well in poor dry soils and exposed positions. Plant near paths for pleasant fragrance. Cultivation/Fertiliser: Require regular applications of Seasol and Powerfeed. Water during summer months if dry.
