GREEN MANURE CROP SEED 1KG

Green manure crops are an excellent way of revitalising tired ground by opening up he soil, adding humus and vital nitrogen. It also helps to suppress winter weeds.

Sowing: Sow March to July.
Cultivate soil prior to sowing.
Sprinkle seeds evenly at 1kg to 50 square metres and apply an all purpose fertiliser.
Rake or lightly cultivate and then water well.

Digging In: The crop should be dug in at least 1 month prior to sowing vegetables to give it time to rot down or when the first sign of a flower or seed head appears. It ma be easier to dig in if the crop is cut down immediately prior to digging in.
