Burgundy Star™ has claret red blooms;
Pick your planting site with two things in mind, the mature size of the tree and the fact that Magnolias thrive in full sun. Prepare the planting hole so that the young tree can thrive in crumbly, well drained soil. Add organic matter to the soil to get things off to a good start.

Be sure to water your newly planted trees regularly to help them establish without stress. Then keep an eye on things, helping them through any long dry spells - once mature, they’ll need little additional irrigation. In spring, scatter a few handfuls of control release fertiliser around each tree
