PERSIMMON JIRO 250mm

Jiro Persimmon are very similar to Fuyu where you can eat them when they are still firm and crunchy. This is called non-astringent. Persimmon love full sun posititions. Improve soil with gypsum and compost to make it more friable. Mulch with sugarcane or pea straw. Feed in Spring with an all purpose or fruit tree specific fertiliser.

Persimmon grow to 5m. However, if you want them to stay more compact, pruning the tree does not effect the fruit too much as they fruit on new season wood.
