Prunus Purple Jewel

A sensational new selection. Much larger leaves than the usual form commence as green young new growth and then turn quickly to incredibly deep, shining, wine red, with gorgeous, soft, blue-mauve undersides. The display continues until late Autumn, the leaves remaining on the trees much longer than usual.
Small white flowers appear in spring.
