Slow growing, upright cylindrical cactus to 2 metres with occasional branches from stem.
Plant in a well-drained area outdoors in the garden or in pots in a full-sun or part-shade position.
Plant indoors in pots with well drained mix and place near windows.
Frost hardy.
Flowers appear on older specimens.
Plants will be much smaller when grown in pots.
